Intellias has joined the Navigation Data Standard (NDS) Association in 2023, backed by a decade of experience with NDS maps, taking full responsibility for end-to-end product delivery to Tier 1 suppliers and global OEMs. At this stage, we are contributing to the Technical Committee and Working Groups, participating in community projects and NDS events to foster innovation in navigation and mapping services.
On June 4th, we’ll join industry leaders and established NDS Association members — including Zenrin, TomTom, BMW, NNG, HERE, NVIDIA, NAVIS AMS, and MXNAVI. The NDS Public Conference 2025 will take place at Zenrin HQ in Tokyo and will also be streamed online. Intellias will present prototypes leveraging NDS.Live Application Services, community-contributed map data, and innovative tools aimed at driving the future of map development. Check out the full agenda to see all topics and the event schedule.
At the NDS Conference, Intellias expert Olena Slieptsova will speak alongside industry leaders, OEMs, and automotive solution providers to showcase new Mapping Tools and Application Services prototypes, developed using Intellias expertise in cloud, mapping, and the NDS.Live standard.
Olena will introduce a prototype of NDS.Live Routing and Search Services, supported by evaluation tools that highlight the capabilities of NDS.Live for Application Services. Originally initiated as an educational project within IntelliMapLab, the developed services validate key functions like routing, POI search, and geocoding, while the accompanying tools provide visualization of routes and search results. By moving search and routing to the cloud, these services boost navigation systems efficiency and scalability – paving the way for high-performance, cloud-based navigation experiences.
The second topic will be presented in collaboration with Zenrin, where Olena will join Yoshiaki Motoyasu to showcase Zenrin’s Evaluation Service complemented with the Statistic Framework developed by Intellias for collecting and visualizing map data statistics based on Zenrin maps. The framework collects detailed statistics on full set of map attributes and visualizes the data on interactive dashboards to support data-driven map development. It will be shared with all NDS members as part of Intellias’ ongoing contribution to the NDS ecosystem.
