Kyiv, Ukraine — October 18, 2023 Intellias, a global technology partner for top-tier organizations and Fortune 500 companies, has received the UN Global Compact recognition in Ukraine for the Intellias Stronger Together initiative: “Volunteering, Support, and 1.5 Million Dollars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” The project was recognized in the “Peace” category as part of the “Partnership for Sustainable Development” competition.
This competition aims to promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and foster partnerships between businesses, governments, and civil society. This year, representatives from Ukraine and 12 European countries submitted their cases for participation.
The Intellias Stronger Together case depicts our response to Russia’s unprovoked aggression against Ukraine. First and foremost, the company ensured the safety of its colleagues who were in active conflict zones. In a matter of two weeks, Intellias evacuated over 1300 employees and their families from southern and eastern regions to western Ukraine. Some specialists, along with their children and immediate relatives, were evacuated to the company’s international locations, including the volunteer headquarters operating in Intellias’ office in Krakow. At the same time, the effective execution of the Business Continuity Plan facilitated restoring the company’s operational activities to 80% within just a few days and to 98% within two weeks of the onset of the full-scale invasion. This enabled the stable fulfillment of commitments to clients and partners, subsequently shifting the company’s focus to volunteer projects and charitable initiatives.
As a company with Ukrainian roots, we understand that the future of not only our business, but the entire country depends on the outcome of this war. Therefore, from the very first days of the full-scale invasion, we have concentrated our efforts on aiding our country and working towards our collective victory through volunteer and charitable projects, initiated in part by the professionals at Intellias. We are very grateful to the United Nations Global Compact in Ukraine for recognizing our joint efforts with such a high accolade.
Today, the company operates a comprehensive ecosystem to support initiatives aimed at aiding both military and civilian individuals affected by the war in Ukraine. Extensive fundraising campaigns take place on our internal crowdfunding platform, IntelliShare. For smaller charitable campaigns and seamless communication among volunteers, we utilize the Teams channel Intellias Stronger Together. In January 2023, we also established our own charitable organization, the “Intellias Change Foundation.” This allows us to be more agile and responsive to the urgent needs of military and civilian beneficiaries.
The total aid provided by Intellias to military and humanitarian organizations in Ukraine now amounts to over 2 million dollars. Additionally, within the company, there are programs designed to support mobilized colleagues, and recently, a comprehensive program for the reintegration of military personnel returning to civilian life has been implemented.
In August 2023, Intellias was recognized as one of the top 25 employers for veterans according to Forbes Ukraine, underscoring our commitment to supporting veterans and their successful transition into the workforce.
