Intellias and the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

Intellias will create IntelliMapLab, an innovative educational lab, based in Ivan Franko National University of Lviv

Lviv, Ukraine — Jul 19, 2023 — Intellias, a global technology enabler for top-tier organizations and Fortune 500 companies, and Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (LNU), one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in Ukraine, signed a Memorandum on long-term cooperation. In terms of this partnership, Intellias will create IntelliMapLab, an innovative educational lab that will be based in one of the LNU’s audiences.

The development of young talent is an important part of Intellias work. Educational projects, carried out with LNU, will provide university students with additional opportunities for professional development. According to the Memorandum agreements, Intellias will create IntelliMapLab, a practical engineering laboratory based in one of the LNU’s audiences. This lab will become an innovative educational space where the Intellias experts will mentor the university students, help them implement various practical projects, and teach them about modern technologies used to develop navigation maps.

It is a great honor for us to cooperate with Lviv University. Thanks to the IntelliMapLab, the LNU students will have access to advanced navigation system technologies, which now gradually become one of the most prominent tech directions in the mobility industry. Training and continuous professional development are among the main values of Intellias. We are always ready to support educational initiatives and implement successful projects with universities worldwide. And it is very symbolic that right now, in a difficult time for our country, we are starting a new partnership in Ukraine, in Intellias home city of Lviv.

Vitaliy Sedler, CEO and co-founder of Intellias

The words on the pediment of our university’s main building say: “Patriae decori civibus educandis” or “Educated people are the pride of the Motherland”. And our team works hard every day to live by these words. One of our main goals is to reach the highest standards of scientific research and implement advanced educational practices. Cooperation with employers is an important part of proper education that will help our students build successful careers.

Volodymyr Melnyk, Rector of LNU, professor

Intellias and LNU have already had an experience of successful cooperation, making the current decision to create the IntelliMapLab a natural next step. The company’s experts have conducted a series of workshops as a part of summer and winter IT schools, teaching the LNU students about IoT, AWS cloud services, iOS, and Golang. In addition, the company’s co-founders, Vitaly Sedler, and Mykhailo Puzrakov, studied at LNU.

The company actively implements different projects as part of its Growth Mindset program, which aims to create a basis for the development of Intellias specialists and help students and junior specialists grow professionally. In particular, Intellias has run an IntelliStart project — a series of free IT courses, online and offline meetups — for two consecutive years.

In 2022-2023, the company successfully implemented the Junior Stream program with the focus on studying Java, and additionally Scala. Thanks to this program, 10 pre-selected future proffesionals improved their practical skills and learned about specialized technologies in the mobility industry. They also completed an internship under the mentorship of experienced Intellias engineers. Currently, these specialists continue to work as junior specialists, contributing to the company’s many ambitious tech projects.
