In December 2021, Intellias, a global technology partner to Fortune 500 enterprises and top-tier organizations, signed the Declaration for Gender Equality and Prevention of Domestic Violence. The initiative was introduced by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Center for Corporate Social Responsibility Development.
UNFPA works on raising awareness and promoting a society free of gender stereotypes and violence. The Declaration for Gender Equality and Prevention of Domestic Violence invites businesses to advance their corporate values, improve corporate social responsibility activities, and implement equal opportunity policies for women and men. As of now, more than 40 companies joined the Declaration.
By joining the Declaration, Intellias commits to adhere to its principles:
- implementing gender-sensitive approaches in its operations
- practicing family-friendly policies
- empowering women’s rights
- creating equal employment environment and growth opportunities
- contributing to the prevention of domestic violence and the establishment of zero tolerance to all its forms.
Intellias is already demonstrating its commitment to promoting the Declaration’s standards in its operations and corporate values. In 2021, the company was ranked fifth in the list of top 50 family-friendly companies in Ukraine by UNFPA. Intellias was featured in the report as the company that adheres to the principles of gender equality in its corporate culture and work processes and helps employees maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Previously, Intellias has also announced it had joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative — a voluntary leadership platform for developing, implementing, and disclosing responsible business practices. Joining the UN Global Compact demonstrates Intellias readiness to align its operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Intellias has accepted the responsibility to include UN Global Compact principles in its culture, operations, and business strategy.
In March 2021, Intellias was the first Ukrainian IT company to adopt the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) as part of its commitment to promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace, and community.
Intellias will continue to develop programs to support families and increase its contribution to the promotion of gender equality.
